- a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
- a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter.
- a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile.
So according to this definition, If I'm mad at any of my friends they aren't my friends at that time LOL. Funny huh? (A person who is on good terms with another.) I'm noticing the older I get the more difficult it is to keep a good friend. Some would say that I'm a difficult person to be friends with. I'm blunt, honest and very out spoken. And at times can be easily irritated for no reason at all. But over the years I have toned down a lot due to some of my friends stating that I hurt their feelings. But I've also realized that changing who I am so that others are comfortable around me, makes me also not true to being who I really am. I feel different, and not myself and I feel like I have to walk on egg shells around certain people because of how sensitive they are. I'M FREAKEN DONE MAN!!!! I can't do this anymore. I can't pretend to be someone I'm not, I can't bite my tongue any more, which I've been doing for years and a lot of people are getting away with a lot of stuff that pissed me off. If you can't handle Terrica Shervon Smith then you don't need to be my FRIEND!
- If your too sensitive and can't handle a blunt person DON'T BE MY FRIEND
- If you can't believe me when I say "I'd never hurt you on purpose DON'T BE MY FRIEND
- If you can't handle my mood swings DON'T BE MY FRIEND
- If you can't allow me to fully be myself when I'm around you DON'T BE MY FRIEND
Lord please send me friends that except me for who I REALLY am. Please send me friends that are strong, honest, and trust worthy. AMEN!

Wow...this is a very strong post, but also very right. We're either getting to be or are at that age, where we have to decide who are real friends are. Most of the time we call people friends, but get confused in titles and caught up in the moment of enjoying someone else's company. And sometimes that means who we think may be a friend is an acquaintance. Here are some friendship quotes that I really appreciate and couldn't agree more:
ReplyDelete"Don't pity the girl with one true friend. Envy her. Pity the girl with just a thousand acquaintances." By Katie Obenchain
"A true friend is someone you can disagree with and still remain friends. For if not, they weren't true friends in the first place."
By Sandy Ratliff
"True friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget." By Amanda Kunkle
"A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down." By Arnold Glasgow
The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart." ~Elisabeth Foley
"It is the friends you can call up at 4 a.m. that matter." ~Marlene Dietrich
Oh and here's one just for you: "Cherish the friend who tells you a harsh truth, wanting ten times more to tell you a loving lie." ~Robert Brault
THATS WHAT I SAYING GIRL I WISH I COULD SPEAK MY MIND LIKE YOU BUT IM PRAYING FOR MYSELF SO IN TIME I KNOW IT WILL COME. BUT THATS TRUE IF PEOPLE CANT EXCEPT TERRICA FOR TERRICA THEN THEY ARE NOT YOUR TRUE FRIENDS. I LOVE YOU BIG SIS
